About The Club

Seaford & District Dog Training Club was formed in 1960 and has been in continual existence ever since. No mean feat when you consider that all the people down the years, who have run the club and trained the owners and their dogs, have been volunteers. At present we have a keen band of dog lovers keeping the club going and also various committee members, almost all of whom train their dogs at the club.

We are focused on helping people to train their dogs in simple obedience. We are affiliated to the kennel club and we run the kennel club good citizen scheme puppy, bronze, silver and gold courses.

All levels are an 8 week course with bronze, silver & gold having an assessment on the final week. We only train using positive reinforcement methods.

As well as our training evenings we have a monthly walk in the forest for those who wish to come plus a summer BBQ, the occasional Quiz Night and Trips. Our trainers are there to help and advise and we have experienced most problems and sorted out most of them.

Our training classes are held in the Scout Hut at the Salts Recreational Ground in Seaford East Sussex.

Class fees are £20 per term plus a yearly membership (bronze/silver/gold/Graduate) £10 Single, £15 Joint, £20 Family.

There is a big demand for our classes and any owners that are interest should contact the club secretary to be added to the list for the next available course.
